What we collect — and don't.

What this site collects
Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, requested path, timestamp) retained for 30 days for security and aggregate analytics. Language preference stored in your browser's localStorage. Form submissions (contact, careers, press) only when you choose to send them.
What we don't do
- No third-party advertising tracking on this corporate site.
- No sale or rental of personal data to anyone, ever.
- No fingerprinting beyond what your browser exposes in standard requests.
Form submissions
When you submit the contact, careers, or press form, we store the fields you provide to respond to you. We retain submissions for up to 24 months, then delete unless the inquiry is still active or a legal hold applies.
Source protection
If you contact a Republic journalist through this site or any byline email, your identity is protected by editorial privilege. For sensitive tips, use the secure channels listed on each newsroom site rather than corporate contact forms.
Your rights
Request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing privacy@republic.bd. We respond within 30 days.
